OUTFIT OBSESSIONS

There's a newcomer here on the Scandinavialist - OUTFIT OBSESSIONS - a curated smorgasbord of Scandinavian fashion that will occur on a weekly basis as a little weekend treat for you fellow Scandimaniacs : )

And as for those of you who haven't noticed yet.. I am and will always be a 'monochromer', so prepare yourself for a whole lot of B&W inspiration in the time coming!

So let's see what's on the menu shall we..?

1 // This week's protagonist is the trench coat, in case you didn't know, your wardrobe isn't complete without one.. I have a black and blue one, but am deeply missing a beige one. As I am very picky with details and the cut I have been on the lookout for quite a while, that was until I spotted the 'Orietta' trench coat by Marlene Birger a few weeks back (whooahh, stopped me in my tracks) and it hopped right on top of my wish list. The softly curved edges and seamless trims ticks my box! (Also comes in black)

2 // The slightly bigger LBD is also a must, especially with long sleeves and a turtleneck these days. I have one very similar to this in wool and I basically want to live in it these days as London is as nippy as can be.. This one 'Pasadena' is from Ganni and comes in a soft jersey fabric in black or grey.

3 // HANDBAG! Can we ever get enough of them?! No is my answer to that, this one from Norwegian fashion design duo CALA & JADE is just jaw-dropping. 'Nusch Black Rubber' is something a bit different, made out of washed, tumble dried and shrunken lambs leather which gives it that amazing grain and if that wasn't enough it also has a rubber coating on top making it even more standoutish!

4 // Those ankle boots: 'Loma m black' by ACNE needs no further explanation.. a must-have-now-timeless-piece-love-the-detail-on-the-tip-boots!

5 // Keeping track of the time in this busy city is always useful and I opt for the more masculine looking time keepers like this 'No.1 Black' (of course..!) from Stockholm based TID WATCHES (designed by one of my favorite design studios Form Us With Love) it comes with 2 choices of wristband, black or natural, both organic vegetable tanned leather. So minimal, so simple, so Scandi!

6 // And last but not least, gotta keep them hands moisturized! Mine feels a bit like sandpaper these days.. so thank goodness there are lovely natural organic Scandinavian-made remedies like this hand creme from Swedish L:A BRUKET.

And voilá that was this weekend's menu, so bon apetité and hope you enjoy! Happy weekend to you : )
