Stay in Stockholm // Downtown Camper by Scandic
Looking for that serene, yet hip & urban escape when in Stockholm? I was lucky to partner up with Downtown Camper during my visit to the Stockholm Design Week earlier this year and boy was I spoiled by their lux setup, which in this case translates into; generosity, togetherness, inspiration and experiences..
As Scandic Hotel’s new signature stay in Stockholm, Downtown Camper is a lifestyle hotel that offers something a little bit different than your usual hotel. Their USP being ‘a hotel for the urban explorer’, and quite rightly so, on top of all the usual hotel facilities, Downtown Camper has an array of special treats free of charge tailored to their guests needs; Spanning from running & yoga, hiring a bike to roam around the city, or even a kayak(!) for those who want to explore Stockholm from the most beautiful angle, the harbour, to wellness workshops and inspirational lectures. In other words, the perfect stay for those individuals who enjoys being active yet appreciates a little haven to wind down in.
The hotel also set up to accommodates for co-working, which is perfect when on business travel and a good way to meet locals, as they seems to be hanging around this hip hub as well. When your business affairs finishes for the day, one can unwind in one of the relaxation areas - Be it the net spanning across the reception are, tuning in for a mindfulness session or moving on to the top floor where you’re greeted with a scenic view of the city from the sky bar or better yet, my favourite part (apart from the most amazing breakfast spread I have come across in ages!) one can robe up and enter the rooftop haven of ‘The Nest Wellness & Retreat’. Again, with a stunning view of the city, you are met by a steamy rooftop pool and a sauna unlike anything you’ve probably seen before..
All in all my stay at Downtown Camper was an absolute treat, from start till the very end, and I will surely be back again. And oh, did I already mentioned the endless dreamy breakfast spread..? Or what about the ‘fika’ spread they put on every day for those with ‘elevensies’..? #takemebackplease
