I'm a fool for everything involving geometry. Whether that being architecture itself, fashion or design, it seems my brain go on a high as I feast my eyes on the subject, soaking up every inch of its shapes, proportions and angles and how they interrelate. Yes, a bit nerdy, I know.. Luckily I'm not alone, the design duo behind Danish LAWA DESIGN seem to share the obsession.

I came across this lovely duo in Copenhagen last year as I was on the look-out for some new, up and coming designer talents and as my eyes peered across the exhibition stands from a distance, something oh-so geometric caught my eye..

Their story beings with the two of them being Architects. One day Allan and Ewa found themselves working alongside each other at Henning Larsen Architects in Copenhagen, and just to note, before all the geometry kicked in, there was a little something else called love that happened.. And little did they know that this spark was also the beginning of their career as designers and founders of LAWA DESIGN:

Their design journey all started the day Allan found himself looking for a new pendant light for his livingroom. Failing to find one he really liked, Allan sat down and practiced his sketching skills instead, which eventually lead him to the design of the 'ARC PENDANT'. After some time of hanging proudly in his living room, the 'ARC PENDANT' became subject to a lot of compliments from friends and family, which quickly turned into encouragement of starting their own design studio and just like that, LAWA DESIGN was a fact.

Fast forward to today and Allan & Ewa have launched their pendant in two more colours, as well as their beautifully geometric 'DELTA CLOCK' in the same range of colours as their pendants; oak, white and black. It might also be worth mentioning that their designer skills was awarded the Elle Decoration Design competition for young talents in 2015, all very well deserved, so cannot wait to see what other glorious geometric gems they come up with next.
